The Jackson Clinic was established in the fall of 1997 in Paris, TX. Shortly after our inception with but a small staff we recognized the growing needs and desires of our patient population; those of quality medical care formulated by advanced technology and discipline all maintained with convenience and a personal touch.
With this premise, we have grown to a staff of seventeen, encompassing several licensed professionals in the areas of cardiovascular, pulmonary, and sleep medicine, and maturing comprehensive diagnostic capabilities throughout the expansive scope of internal medicine.
As a diagnostician by trade, Dr. Jackson uncovers and assertively manages a plethora of disease processes; still he continues to strive for the ultimate goal of preventative care.
Our goal of providing the most comprehensive medical care possible is ever expanding. We realize the expectations of our patients are high, perhaps only shadowed by our ultimate responsibility to stay abreast of the tremendous advancements in this amazing arena we call medicine. We feel this responsibility fortuitous and only hope our patients, both present and future, benefit in health from this continuing disciplined approach.
We invite you to discover more about our clinic on this web site and look forward to caring for you soon!
Good Health and Godspeed-
Paul T. Jackson, M.D.

It is very important to differentiate between daytime sleepiness which occurs in all of us at certain
times and acute minor restriction of sleep from excessive sleepiness. Excessive sleepiness a symptom of
difficulty maintaining a wakeful state and an increased chance of falling asleep at inappropriate times.
This, thereby interfering with activities of daily living, and putting us in harms way from a deteriorated
performance standpoint such as being behind the wheel of a car, etc. Sleepiness is often confused with,
and may coexist with fatigue. In fact, sleepiness is always discussed as "driver fatigue". Although
sleepiness and fatigue can be associated with known medical disorders, it is important to distinguish
between them in patients who present with complaints of insomnia or excessive sleepiness.
